1. Who we are

Belong Collection Vacation Homes L.L.C (“Belong Collection”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a limited liability company licensed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under licence no. 1649446, with its office at Office No. 1912, The Binary by Omniyat, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We manage holiday homes in Dubai on behalf of their owners and are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We process personal data in line with the data protection law that applies in the United Arab Emirates.

2. Personal data we collect

Website visitors

Our hosting provider processes technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the Website and keep it secure. We keep anonymous page and enquiry statistics without cookies and without identifying you. Your browser stores your chosen display currency, how you found us (for example the advertisement or campaign link you arrived from), your choice on the cookie notice and, if you try the live guest desk, a random session identifier so the conversation keeps its context.

To see which of our advertisements bring owners to the Website we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API, where the law requires it only after you have allowed this on the cookie notice. The pixel sets a cookie named _fbp and reports the pages you visit to Meta Platforms; when you request a Revenue Assessment we also send Meta a hashed (unreadable) form of your email address and phone number so that the request can be matched to the advertisement. Nothing else on the Website changes if you decline, and you can change your choice here at any time. Meta’s own use of this data is described in Meta’s privacy policy.

Revenue Assessments and enquiries

When you request a Revenue Assessment or send us an enquiry, we collect your name and email address and, if you give them, your WhatsApp number and the number of properties you own, together with your answers about the property: its location, type, current use, furnishing and your own use of it. Furnishing enquiries also include the number of bedrooms, the style and the handover date; broker registrations include the agency and RERA number.

Property owners

For the owners we work for, we process contact and identification details, the property information required for registration with the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), bank details for payouts, owner statements and our correspondence.

Guests

For the homes we manage, we process guests’ booking details, the identification details that DET registration requires, the messages guests send us through booking platforms, WhatsApp or our website chat, and the information we need to look after their stay.

3. How we use personal data

  • to answer enquiries and prepare Revenue Assessments;
  • to enter into and perform Management Agreements, including owner statements and payouts;
  • to run stays: check-in, guest support, cleaning and maintenance;
  • to register guests with DET and meet our other legal, tax and accounting obligations;
  • to keep our services and the Website secure.

We process personal data where it is needed to perform a contract, to comply with the law, for our legitimate interest in running our business, or with your consent. We do not sell personal data.

4. Automated systems and artificial intelligence

Guest messages are answered with the help of automated systems, including artificial intelligence, under human oversight. Complaints, emergencies, refunds and changes to bookings are always handled by a person. To generate responses, message content is processed by selected cloud AI providers under agreements that do not allow them to use it to train their models.

5. Who we share it with

  • booking platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com, to manage reservations;
  • DET and other public authorities, where the law requires it;
  • service providers who work on our behalf, such as hosting, email, messaging, cleaning, maintenance and payment providers, under a duty of confidentiality;
  • the owner of a property, to the extent needed to report on its bookings;
  • our professional advisers.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the European Union and the United States. Where personal data is transferred, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer and on the protections the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiry and assessment details are kept for as long as we are in contact and are deleted on request. Owner and accounting records are kept for as long as UAE commercial and tax law requires, and guest registration data for as long as DET rules require. Guest conversation history is kept while we manage the property, so returning guests keep their context.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive a copy of it. Write to hello@belongcollection.com; we respond within 30 days. Guests may contact us in the same way about data relating to a stay in a home we manage.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to the people and systems that need it to provide our services. No online service can promise absolute security; we treat owner and guest information with the discretion of a hotel front desk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page, with the date above, is the one that applies.
